This study learns to learn whether it is necessary to use mind mapping learning models on the results of economic learning in economic material in class X of Padangsidimpuan 5 High School. This research was conducted in Padangsidimpuan 5 Public High School, a population of 69 students and 36 samples taken by cluster random sampling. In analyzing the data, the observation sheet used for the use of mind mapping learning models made a test for economic aid materials. Then the results were analyzed by descriptive analysis and statistical analysis. From the analysis results obtained the average value of mind mapping learning model is 3.85 approaching the category of "very good", the average value of economic learning outcomes of students of economic materials before using the mind mapping learning model is 58.89 in the "sufficient" category and the average value of economic learning outcomes of economic material students using mind mapping learning models obtained an average value of 81.81 depending on the category "Very Good". From the results of the analysis, the hypothesis obtained by tcount is 15,896, then the significant value that can be obtained is 0,000 so that the value of sig (2-tailed) <0.005 (0,000 <0,005) can be seen. Based on these results it can be seen that there is a significant influence between the use of mind mapping learning models on the results of learning economics in the material in class X of SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.
