Abstract
This study alms to determine whether there is a significant affect of the use of the learning model contextual teaching and learning on learning outcomes of the subject matter of the history of indonesian independence proclamation class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sibabangun. This study was conducted using an experimental method to see a causal link objects in meticulous something that use contextual teaching and learning models and learning outcomes of the proclamation of indonesian independence. The population in this study were 53 students. The sampling technique used is total sampling entire eighth grade students numbering 53 people. Descriptive and inferential analysis were used to analyze the data. Based on data analysis, it was found that : (a) the average use of the learning model contextual teaching and learning is at 3,06 in the category of “good”. (b) the average result of learning the history of indonesian independence proclamation material before using the learning model contextual teaching and learning is 60,75 in the category “enough”, and after using the learning model contextual teaching and learning is 73,11 in the category of “good”. (c) thitung greater than ttabel (29,64>1,92). It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the use of the learning model contextual teaching and learning on learning outcomes of the subject matter of the history of indonesian independence proclamation class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sibabangun
