Abstract

This study aims to look at the influence of the teacher's professional competence on the results of economic learning in the offering material in class X IPS South SMA 1 Barumun. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun Selatan by using descriptive research methods. The study population was all students of class X IPS in SMA Negeri 1 Barumun Selatan, totaling 72 students, while the sample set was 72 students. The sampling technique is total sampling. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential statistical analysis.Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it was found that the professional competence of teachers on the results of economic learning in the offering material in the X IPS class of SMA Negeri 1 south barum was well run during the learning process carried out on the offer material. It can be seen that the average of the questionnaire results has an average value of 82.92 which is in the category of “Very Good”. The average value of economic learning outcomes on bidding material is 83.19 in the category of “Very Good”. Based on the results of calculations carried out using the SPSS 20 application obtained t value of 2.227 at a 95% confidence level or an error rate of 5% with a significant value of 0.029, meaning the value of sig (0.029 <0.05). Based on these results it can be seen that there is a significant effect between the professional competence of teachers on the results of economic learning in the offering material in class X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Barumun Selatan.
