Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

This study aims to see: 1) What is the description of the implementation of the learning strategy of The Power of Two in class XI of HKBP Private High School Lintong Nihuta 2) What are the results of economic learning material on economic growth before and after the implementation of The Power Of Two learning strategies ( Strength of Two Heads) in class XI HKBP Private High School Lintong Nihuta 3) Is there any influence between the implementation of The Power of Two learning strategy on economic learning outcomes on the subject of Economic Growth in class XI HKBP Private High School Lintong Nihuta. This research was conducted using the experimental method. This research was conducted at HKBP Sintong Nihuta Sasta High School Population used by all XI grade students of HKBP Sasta High School Lintong Nihuta. The sampling technique is done by random sampling technique. The sample in this study was class XI IPS2 as many as 32 students. Data collection methods used are observation and tests. The average value of applying the power of two learning strategy (the power of two heads) on the material of economic growth was obtained a score of 3.5 categories "Very Good". While the learning outcomes of students in the material of economic growth before applying the power of two learning strategy (the power of two heads) obtained an average value of 67.69 categories of "Enough" and after the implementation of the learning strategy the power of two (the power of two heads) obtained the average value 78.78 categories "Very Good". Then the data analysis technique used is the t test. Hypothesis testing analysis is processed using SPSS. From the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing, the t-count value = 5.572 is used to determine the effect of the two variables, the t-count value is 95% confidence level or 5% error level with the degree of freedom (dk) = N -1 = 32-1 = 31 Thus the price of the table at 1.6957 then t count> t table or 5.572> 1.6957. This shows that the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted or approved. This means that there is a significant influence simultaneously before and after the application of the power of two learning strategy (the power of two heads) on the results of economic learning on the material of economic growth in Class XI HKBP Private High School Lintong Nihuta.
