Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

            This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of applying inquiry learning strategy on students’ economic achievement on the topic offer at the tenth grade students of SMA Neegri 2 Sei Kanan. The research was conducted by using quasi experimental method (pretest post test one group design) with 25 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling technique from 76 students. Test and observation were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using inquiry learning strategy was 3.40 (very good category) and b) the average of students’ economic achievement on the topic offer before applying inquiry learning strategy was 67.60 (enough category ) and after applying inquiry learning strategy was 79.60 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using paired sample ttest   and helping SPSS version 22, the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, there is a significant influence of applying inquiry learning strategy on students’ economic achievement on the topic offer at the tenth grade students of SMA Neegri 2 Sei Kanan.
