PENGARUH KETERAMPILAN GURU MEMBERIKAN PENGUATAN TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP MATERI BUKU BESAR DI KELAS XII IPS SMA NEGERI 1 ANGKOLA SELATAN

This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of teacher’s skill to give reinforcement on students’ accounting achievement on the topic ledger at the twelfth grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 1Angkola Selatan. The research was conducted by using experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 36 students as the sample and they were taken by using total sampling technique. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of teacher’s skill to give reinforcement was 3.63 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ accounting achievement on the topic ledger before using teacher’s skill to give reinforcement was 67.36 (enough category) and after using teacher’s skill to give reinforcement was 85.83 ( very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using paired sample ttest and helping SPSS version 16, the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.005). It means, there is a significant influence of teacher’s skill to give reinforcement on students’ accounting achievement on the topic ledger at the twelfth grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 1Angkola Selatan.
