Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to describe 1) using cooperative script learning model in teaching economic development, 2) the average of students’ economic development achievement before and after using cooperative script learning model, and 3) there is a significant influence of using cooperative script learning model on students’ economic development achievement.The research was conducted at the twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Padang Bolak by applying experimental method (one group pretest posttest design) with 27 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 106 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (1) the average of using cooperative script learning model in teaching economic development was 3.15 (very good category) and (2) the average of students’ economic development achievement before using cooperative script learning model was 6.11 (enough category) and after using cooperative script learning model was 80.37(very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, version 16, the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.005). It means, there is a significant influence of using cooperative script learning model, and 3) there is a significant influence of using cooperative script learning model on students’ economic development achievement.
