PENGARUH KETERAMPILAN GURU DALAM MEMBIMBING DISKUSI KELOMPOK KECIL TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR EKONOMI MATERI JURNAL UMUM DI KELAS XII IPS SMA NEGERI 2 SIABU

ABSTRACT
This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions on students’ general ledger achievement at the eleventh grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 2 Siabu. This research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 24 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling from 48 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (a) the average of teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions was 3.35 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ general ledger achievement before using teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions was 54.38 (fair category) and after using teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions was 82.29 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using paired sample ttest and helping SPSS version 16 , the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, there is a significant influence of teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions on students’ general ledger achievement at the eleventh grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 2 Siabu.
