Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of using kumon learning model on students’ economic achievement on the topic production cost at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest posttest design) with 20 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling technique from 84 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (1) the average of using kumon learning model was 3.37 ( very good category) and (2) the average of students’ economic achievement on the topic production cost before using kumon learning model was 74.90  (enough category) and after using kumon learning model was 77.35 ( good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttestone tail, the result showed ttable was less than tcalculated (1.734>1.00). It means, there is a no significant influence of using kumon learning model on students’ economic achievement on the topic production cost at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat.
