Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions on students’ introduction of accounting achievement on the topic financial statement at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan. This research was conducted by applying descriptive quantitative with 36 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling from 178 students. Questionnaire and test were used in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (a) the average of teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions was 76.38 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ introduction of accounting achievement on the topic financial statement was 73.47 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using partial ttest  and helpin SPSS version 22 , the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.014 < 0.05). It means, there is a significant influence of teachers’ skill in guiding small group discussions on students’ introduction of accounting achievement on the topic financial statement at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan.
