Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study aims to know whether there is a significant difference of using expository and inquiry learning strategy on students’ economic achievement on the topic the function of consumption at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Arse. The research was conducted by applying experimental method with 27 students as the sample for expository learning strategy and 27 students for inquiry learning strategy and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. Test and observation were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of function of consumption achievement by using expository learning strategy was 82.40 (very good category) and b) the average of students’ function of consumption achievement by using inquiry learning strategy was 76.29 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using independent sample ttest and helping SPSS version 20 , the result showed the value of ttable wass less than tcalculated (1.67<2.674). It means, there is a significant difference of using expository and inquiry learning strategy on students’ economic achievement on the topic the function of consumption at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Arse.
