Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of using drill method on students’ accounting achievement on the topic adjusting entry at the eleventh grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Angkola.  The research was conducted by applying experimental method with 23 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling technique from 102 students. Test and observation were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analyzes, it could be found that a) the average of using drill method was 3.33 (very good category) and b) the average of students’ accounting achievement on the topic adjusting entry before using drill method was 71.09 (good category) and after using drill method was 83.26 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using paired sample ttest, the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05).  It means, there is a significant influence of using drill method on students’ accounting achievement on the topic adjusting entry at the eleventh grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Angkola.
