Abstract

This study aims to know there is a significant influence of using mind mapping learning model on students’ economic achievement on the topic human needs at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat. The research was conducted by using quasi experimental method (pretest post test one group design) with 20 students as the sample and they were taken by cluster sampling technique from 84 students. Test and observation were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using mind mapping learning model was 3.54 (very good category0 and b) the average of  students’ economic achievement on the topic human needs before using mind mapping learning model was 66.44 (enough category) and after using mind mapping learning model was 82.97 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttest   one tail, the result showed ttable was less than tcalculated (1.74<1.73). It means, there is a significant influence of using mind mapping learning model on students’ economic achievement on the topic human needs at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat.
