Abstract

This study aims to know whether there is the significant influence of emotional development and students’ economic achievement on the topic economic main problem at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. This research was conducted by applying descriptive quantitative method with 25 students as the sample and they were taken by using total sampling technique.  Questionnaire and test were used in collecting the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (a) the average of emotional development was 72.20 (good category) and b) the average of students’ economic achievement on the topic economic main problem was 80.60 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttest, and helping SPSS Version 23, the result showed 0.05 was less than the significant value (0.05<0.641). It means, there is the significant influence of emotional development and students’ economic achievement on the topic economic main problem at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Angkola.
