Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

This study aims to describe portrait of salted fish processing life in Back Market of Sibolga City 2010-2018 year.The approach of the research was qualitative by applying history method which includes heuristic, source critic, interpretation, and historiography. Interview was used in collecting the data and the finding of the research that the socio-economic condition of the salted fish processing community in back market of SibolgaCity  from 2010 to 2018 has not experienced significant development.This condition is seen from salted fish processing residence that still rent, building made of board, education level of child in family still low,income not settled, and still live in poverty number.The salted fish processor is the main choice of Sibolga City of BlackMarket because there is no land that can be utilized, housing factor that requires them to process salted fish, no capital to replace other business, and low level of public education.Constraints faced by the salted fish processing community is an uncertain weatherfactor, rain suddenly resulted in losses to salted fish processors because the sun is not enough to dry the fish and cause the fish to rot.
