This study aims to find out the real picture of 1) To find out the description of unemployment in Lubuk Godang Village, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency, 2) To find out the description of the poverty level in Lubuk Godang Village, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency and 3) To determine the effect of poverty in Lubuk Godang Village, North Padang Lawas Regency. unemployment to poverty levels in Lubuk Godang Village, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency. The research method is quantitative, the population of this study is the entire object or the entire community of Lubuk Godang Village, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency. Furthermore, it was determined that the sample was approximately 20% which the authors took as much as 42.6% and rounded up to 43 people. The instrument used as a data collection tool is a questionnaire. Then the research data is processed in two stages where the first stage is descriptive analysis which aims to find out the description of the two research variables. Then to find out whether there is an influence between the two variables, the Product Moment formula is used. The results of the calculations carried out to test the enforced hypothesis can be seen below the significant level of 0.5 with degrees of freedom (dk) = N – nr = 43 – 2 = 41 It can be seen that r arithmetic > r table is 0.393 > 0.308. Thus the hypothesis is accepted or approved, in other words the more unemployment in Lubuk Godang Village, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency, the more people who experience poverty in Lubuk Godang Village, Dolok District, North Padang Lawas Regency.
