Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of level among parents' education and learning motivation on students’ economic achievement at the eleventh grade students of IPS major of SMA Negeri 2 Padang Bolak. The research was conducted by using descriptive quantitative method with 45 students as the sample and they were taken by using total sampling technique. Test and documentation were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the level parents’ education who had the highest presentation was graduated from Senior High School (33.33%), (b) the average of learning motivation was 67.55 (enough category), and (c) the average of students’ economic achievement was 80.33 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic, it could be found that a) there is a significant influence between level of parents' education on students’ economic achievement, (b) there is no a significant influence between learning motivation on students’ economic achievement, and (c) there is a significant influence among level of parents' education and learning motivation on students’ economic achievement at the eleventh grade students of IPS major SMA Negeri 2 Padang Bolak..
