Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant influence between parental income on children's education level in Gapuk Tua Village, Marancar District. This research was conducted using descriptive method. The population in this study was the entire village of Gapuk Tua, Marancar sub-district with a total population of 1063 people. The sample in this study were 20 people. The research instrument uses a questionnaire as a measuring tool for the X and Y variables. Based on the results of research on the income of parents in the village of Gapok Tua, Marancar sub-district, the average value (mean) of 79.75 was in the "Good" category. The level of education of children obtained an average value (mean) of 80.50 is in the "Very Good" category. In order to know whether the hypothesis upheld in this study was accepted or rejected, a descriptive analysis was carried out using the "t" test formula. Based on the results of the calculations, the tcount value is 16.210. While the value of ttable at 95% confidence level or 5% error rate with degrees of freedom (df) = n–(k-1) is 2.093 . This means that the alternative hypothesis in this study can be accepted or approved for truth. This means that there is a significant influence between Parental Income on Children's Education Levels in Gapuk Tua Village, Marancar District.
