Abstract

This research aims to seek the effect of Problem Based Learning Model through students learning outcomes. The population is all students in XI IPS degree in Pondok Pesantren Robitotul Istiqomah Pasar Huristak, Palas that contain 92 students then the 30 sample was taken randomly. The research method was experiment. The instruments were observation sheet and learning outcome test. The data from observation result was analyzed descriptively then the data from test result was analyzed quantitatively using t-test because the data spread normally and the population was homogeny. According to the data analysis results obtained: (1) the average of the data from observation sheet through learning process that using Problem Based Learning Model was 3,25 with very good category; (2) the average of students learning outcome before learn with using Problem Based Learning Model was 62,46 with enough category, when the average of students learning outcome after learn with using Problem Based Learning Model was 73,86 with good category; (3) there was a significant effect of Problem Based Learning Model through students’ learning outcome.
