Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to see if there is significant relationship between the use of learning model group investigation to the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter IPS Terpadu cooperation in Junior High School eighth grade 1 Aek Nabara This type of research methods using descriptive and experimental methods. The descriptive method to see an overview of research results between the two variables is defined and the experimental method to see the difference in results between preetes Science Class students and posttes after a given treatment. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Aek Nabara which consists of 2 classes. The sampling technique used is the basis of total sampling, is 38 people . Data collection techniques in this study using observationand test, for a variable X is using observation and for the variable Y is use test. Based on the results of a descriptive analysis of the average value of the use of learning model group investigation in the subject matter of IPS Terpadu cooperaton in Junior High School eighth grade 1 Aek Nabarais 2,74 are in the category of "good ". While the average value of science learning outcomes before using the learning model Think, Pair, Shareto the subject matter of IPS Terpadu cooperation in Junior High School eighth grade 1 Aek Nabara is 64,88 in the category "less". While the average value of science learning outcomes after using the experimental method subject matter of the IPS Terpadu cooperation in Junior High School eighth grade 1 Aek Nabara is 77,50 in the categoryof "good". The results of hypothesis testing using a test using the formula " t - test " obtained t = 13,29 , compared with t-tabel at 95% confidence level or error rate of 5 % with degrees of freedom ( df ) = N - 2 = 38-2 =36 obtained ttable = 1.67 so that it is known that t count greater than t-table (13,29> 1.67). Based on the results of the consultation of the value of the alternative hypothesis formulated in the study can be accepted or approved truth. This means that there is a significant difference between the use of learning model group investigation to the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter IPS Terpadu cooperation in Junior High School eighth grade 1 Aek Nabara.
