This study aims to look at the real picture of whether there is a significant effect between the recitation method learning approach on subject matter demand elasticity Class X students of  SMAN 1 Padang Bolak. This study was conducted in SMAN 1 Padang Bolak, the entire study population class X students of SMAN 1 Padang Bolak numbered 186 people, and the sample taken by cluster sampling technique from X-2 which totaled 34 people.

Networking data using tests and questionnaires, tests to see by subject matter demand elasticity, and questionnaires to see the effect of the recitation method learning approach. Multiple-choice tests totaling 20 questions of each variable. Then the research data is processed in two stages. The first phase of the descriptive analysis is to see a picture of these two variables. The second stage by using a statistical test by using correlation by Pearson Product Moment and to test whether these two variables have influence the test used t-tests.

The results obtained by the analysis of the average in the subject matter demand elasticity amounting to 70,88 with the category of “Good” and the recitation method learning approach gained by 3.20 with the category of “Good”. Through the calculation is done, it can be concluded that the obtained t-count 2.64. When compared with the t-table and t-hitung confidence level of 95% or 5% error rate obtained t-tabel price of 1.668. Thus it can be seen that t-count greater than t-table (2,64>1,668).Based on these results it can be concluded that the hypothesis can be accepted or approved.
