EFFORTS TO IMPROVE READING SKILLS IN ANIMAL DESCRIBING MATERIAL BY USING THE PBL MODEL AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 40 KOTANOPAN

Abstract

Abstrak : The ability to read is a very important skill in obtaining knowledge and information. In the world of education, teachers have an important role in developing students' reading skills. One method that can be used to improve reading skills is by using the PBL or Problem Based Learning model. Using the PBL model to improve reading skills in Describing Animal material can be an effective alternative for teachers in developing students' reading skills. By actively involving students in problem solving, the PBL model can increase students' motivation and interest in reading. Apart from that, this model also allows students to learn in a more real and collaborative context. Therefore, teachers need to consider using the PBL model in developing students' reading skills
