THE EFFECT OF TEAM WORD WEBBING STRATEGY ON STUDENTS' READING COMPREHENSION OF DESCRIPTIVE TEXT AT THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 1 ANGKOLA TIMUR IN 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to know: 1. The application of team word webbing strategy on students reading comprehension of descriptive text, 2. The students reading comprehension of descriptive text before and after using team word webbing strategy, 3. Is there any significant effect of team word webbing strategy on students reading comprehension of descriptive text at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur. This research uses experimental method with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population are 101 with 24 sample take by purposive sampling. The instruments of this research are observation sheet and test form multiple choices. The data is analyze by using t test formula. The result of data analyzing t_test is higher than t _table (21.44>2.07). The hypothesis is accepted, it means that there is any significant effect of team word webbing strategy on students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur in 2022/2023 Academic Year.
