Abstract

The aim of this research was to know whether there was any significant influence of teacher’s skill to make variation and economic achievement in tax subject at the eleventh grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan. The approach of this research was descriptive and correlational method. Population of this research was 148 students and by using cluster random technique sampling, the writer took 37 students as sample. Based on descriptive analysis, the average of teacher’s skill to make variation was 2.99, it was categorized “good” while the average of tax subject was 78.37, it was categorized “good”. Based on statistic inferential analysis by r product moment and ttest  formula to test hypothesis, it could be gotten tcount = 3.207 and ttable = 1.67 at error level 5%. It can be seen that tcount is greater than ttable (3.207<1.67). It means alternative hypothesis was accepted. In the other words, there was any significant influence of teacher’s skill to make variation and economic achievement in tax subject at the eleventh grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan
