Abstract
This study aims to know whether there is the significant influence of using inquiry learning method on students’ history achievement on the topic of development of prehistoric life at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Onang. The method of this research is descriptive with 30 students as the sample. Descriptive and inferential analyzes are used to analyzed the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (a) the average of using inquiry learning method is 3.5 (very good ), (2) the average of students’ history achievement on the topic of development of prehistoric life is 70 (good category), and (3) tcount is greater than ttable (0.574>1.70). It can be concluded that there is the significant influence of using inquiry learning method on students’ history achievement on the topic of development of prehistoric life at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Onang.
