Abstract
This study aims to know whether there is a significant influence of applying problem based learning model on students’ history achievement on the topic of ethical policy at the eleventh grade students of TKR of SMK Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan. The method of this research is experimental with 65 students as the sample. Descriptive and inferential analyzes are used to analyzed the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: (1) the average of applying problem based learning model is 2.68 (good category), (2) the average of students’ history achievement on the topic of ethical policy before applying problem based learning model is 63.23 (enough category) and after applying problem based learning model is 72.15 (good category), and (3) tcount is greater than ttable (5.74>1.665). It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of applying problem based learning model on students’ history achievement on the topic of ethical policy at the eleventh grade students of TKR of SMK Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan
