Abstract

This study aims at finding out: a) describing of cooperative learning model tipe jigsaw, b) describing of students’ history achievement on the topic the nature and the scope history, and c) whether there is the significant influence of using expository learning model on students’ history achievement on the topic the nature and the scope history at the tenth grade students SMA Negeri 1 Barumun Tengah. This research was conducted by applying experimental method with 63 students as the sample. Observation and test are used in collecting the data. Descriptive and inferential analyzes are used to analyzed the data. Based on the data analysis, it was found a) the average of using cooperative learning model tipe jigsaw is 3.27 (very good category), b) the average of students’ history achievement on the topic the nature and the scope history before using cooperative learning model tipe jigsaw is 63,33 (enough category) and after using cooperative learning model tipe jigsaw  is 77,69 (good category), and c) tcount is greater than ttable (13,17>.670 ). It can be concluded that there is the significant influence of using cooperative learning model tipe jigsaw on students’ history achievement on the topic the nature and the scope history at the tenth grade students SMA Negeri 1 Barumun Tengah
